Here is a BTS of photographer Devon Trunk (@DEVONTRUNK) in action shooting Ashley Moore (@ashley_moore_) for Galore Magazine x GBY Beauty.
I absolutely loved doing Ashley's makeup, she is very friendly and so sweet, she even brought the entire crew donuts!
I've worked with Devon on a few shoots, I love her style of photography and how creatively she captures her subjects.
This collaboration with Galore Magazine x GBY Beauty was so much fun. It was an all female crew and I think we were all feeling the woman empowerment vibes on this Valentine's shoot.Read More

Thanks for checking out my January favorites. These are some goodies I've found this month and just can't live without.
1. FREYR, "Mallory" sunglasses.
I AM OBSESSED with these sleek babies. Whenever I put them on I instantly feel like a badass, and because when I am normally wearing sunglasses I'm of course protecting my eyes from the sun yes, but also protecting people from my makeup free face while grocery shopping. So a little Kanye confidence never hurts...And they are a total knock off to the Celine glasses that I can't afford, so these do the trick. $39.95 available at FREYRS.com
2. Makeup Forever, Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation.
What a mouth full. I have never been to big of a fan of cream foundations, but guys let me tell ya, MUFE can do no wrong when it comes to their formulas. TRUST MUFE. I end up using less product using the stick, Its easy to travel with and great for onsite touch ups. I apply it directly onto my face and then blend it out with a BeautyBlender if I am wanting a light coverage or a dense synthetic brush for a fuller coverage. $43.00 available at SEPHORA.
3. Kat Von D, Tattoo Brow Pen.
I can't tell you how much I LOVE this product, it has changed my brow game. The brush tip really helps you create natural looking hair strokes, unlike a lot of brown pens on the market that use felt tips. I am disappointed that it only comes in three colors though (Blonde/Light Brown/Medium Brown.) I thought about purchasing the Tattoo eye liner in black and possibly mixing them, but I decided to just stick with the "Medium Brown." None the less, this is a fantastic product and I recommend you try it. (keep the pen in a cup or something, facing down so all the product sinks to the front of the tip. That way it won't dry out.) $19.00 exclusively at SEPHORA.
4. Honest Beauty, Konjac Sponge.
I recently decided to try out Honest Beauty (Jessica Alba's new natural makeup line) and I have to say the girl did good. Ive tried a few of her products, mostly being skin care and I just adore this cleansing sponge. Ive seen and felt such a difference in my skin since using it with my daily cleanser/exfoliant. You wet the sponge and ring it out (Just like a BeautyBlender) the sponge becomes soft and squishy, you then gently massage your face with your cleanser, and BAM perfectly clean exfoliated skin. It lasts you up to three months before you need to replace it. IM OBSESSED. $12.00 available at HonestBeauty.com
5. Honest Beauty, Magic Balm.
They ain't lying when they say MAGIC. In 2015 "Strobing" was the hot topic and trend, and some people wanted to be glowing, but in more of a wearable everyday way, not look like there is a beacon of light coming from their face. Well let me introduce you to the amazing Magic Balm, its filled with botanical oils and a blend of fruits that nourish your skin while giving you that "glow from within" appearance that everyone desires. You can use it anywhere, highlighting cheekbones, lips, on your cuticles, even under your eyes as a filer. My biggest concern was that it would disrupt the makeup underneath it, happily I found that it did not. It's not sticky or tacky at all and has zero shimmer. $18.00 available at HonestBeauty.com
6. Nivea, for Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm.
OK, I 100 percent realize how bizarre this sounds, me being a woman wearing mens after shave. If you haven't heard of this craze from beauty gurus all over social media then I know how silly this may seem, BUT, I in fact like using this product as a primer before doing my makeup. The rumor is that it helps your foundation last longer because it contains the ingredient Glycerin, which makes other product stick to it. Nikki Tutorials on YouTube started this trend (If you don't subscribe to her channel you should) she is so hilarious, and has amazing product recommendations. She says to use your fingers to apply the balm and to keep rubbing the product into your skin until it becomes tacky, then foundation. So far I like this product and have noticed a small difference in the longevity of my makeup. HOWEVER, you're face will smell like a man for about 15 minutes. Cant have your cake and eat it too, I guess. $5.95 availble at Target.
7. Karuna, Eye Masks.
This year one of my many goals was to take serious action when it comes to my skin care routine. I am going to be 28 this May and I have noticed a huge shift in my skin, breakouts, dullness and a lot of texture. I want to take care of my face, and make sure this mug stay lookin' fresh. Everyones says aging starts with the eyes (Crows feet + fine lines.) So I came across this brand on the SEPHORA website and decided I would give them a try. I have really enjoyed the experience and results so far. The sheet mask is made out of 100% natural wood-pulp fiber which allows your pores to absorb essential nutrients and hydration. They are comfortable too. I try to do it once a week. $36.00 package of four available only on SEPHORA online.
8. Flutter Lashes, "Kelsey."
These Mink Eyelashes are my go to style for my everyday look. They are designed with both medium and long lashes that have bold density and a slight wing tip thats layered to help create an open eyed effect. The band isn't too heavy and is extremely comfortable. The fibers are what really sets these lashes apart from other brands, they look soft and natural while enhancing whatever makeup style you are doing. They may seem expensive to some but for me I look at lashes as an investment. I know I am going to be wearing them a lot and want longevity out of them. I would rather buy one pair of higher end quality and be able to use them for over a month, than buy a drugstore brand for $5.00 and only get 4 uses out of them. I am not saying drugstore brands aren't good, I use them on my clients all the time. But if you are going to be wearing lashes daily I think it is worth it to invest in a luxury brand. $34.95 available at FlutterLashes.com
9. SEPHORA Collection, Sleeping Mask.
This cream-gel mask is perfect for someone who doesn't have the time to do a traditional mask. After washing your face at night you apply a thin layer to your skin followed by a moisturizer. There is no need to rise off in the A.M. all the residue is absorbed into your skin and you wake up with a weightless glow. I tried "Rose" which plumps the skin and gives an immediate boots of hydration and "Honey" that nourishes and relives dryness giving the skin balance. There are eight different masks to try, and the best part is how affordable they are. $4.00 available at SEPHORA.
Welcome to Marfa, TX. Probably one of the coolest little towns ever! A group of us got together and decided we should take an 8 hour adventure and make some photo shoot magic. We stayed at a hotel called El Cosmico, where we all slept is HUGE teepees with vintage furnishing and fire places! WHAT! The town was quiet, small and oh so pretty. We had three photographers in our group, each wanting to create a different concept to utilize the amazing location. We ended up doing four different looks, all of which turned out amazing. I hope you enjoy these BTS photos and it inspires you to take a trip to Marfa, you won't regret it.Read More
